Pranayama is the joy of prana, feeling your life force controlling your life energy.

Our breath is the gift of life without our breath there is no life force. With the gift of our breath, we have everything.

There are many different types of breathing techniques that can change the state of your mind, your nervous system, playing a function of balancing out your left and right-hand brain function.

Years ago, I was working 16-hour days. I would use the Kapalbhati (‘shining skull’) and Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) breathing techniques to increase my energy and focus my mind.

No matter your age, your breath can enhance your life force and well being.
